Teachers, students and parents are encouraged to attend the Iowa Financial Literacy Summit on May 5 in Des Moines. The Iowa Department of Education is hosting this event as part of a broader effort to improve Iowa students' financial literacy skills. The purpose of the summit is to raise awareness that making smart, responsible financial decisions is an important part of a great education; to provide teaching resources to help students meet the financial literacy component of our state standards; and to connect Iowans with community resources and programs that support financial literacy education. Tickets are available through April 21. For more information, including the summit agenda and registration information, visit

Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Call-Em-All Information
“Call Em All” is the system we use when we have inclement weather for school closings, delays, early outs, or other announcements which need to reach the districts’ patrons. If you would like to be added, taken off or change your connect number for “Call Em All”, you can email Jill at email@example.com or call her at 641-969-4288.
*This is an automated phone call, and if your phone is turned off or you do not have your phone set up for voice mail, the message attempts may not reach you. When you do receive a message, please follow the prompt which will let the system know the message has been delivered.
To stay even more connected to our school district’s messages, you can download this app to your smart phone. For additional help in doing this, log on to the school website at www.rocketsk12.org. On the left-hand side under “Communicating”, click on SchoolWay EBF APP.
With this app, you will receive push notifications that the EBF School District sends out. Push messages are one-way notifications sent to you, via your smartphone. You don't reply to push messages, they are simply a secure and reliable means for schools to keep you informed about the school information (weather events, emergencies, or just news to keep you updated)
Not Receiving The Rocket?
If you live in the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont School District and are not receiving The Rocket (EBF’s School District Newspaper) in the mail, you should be. Please notify us so that we can make needed adjustments in delivery. Please email your request, with your name and address to firstname.lastname@example.org and you will be added to the mailing list. You may also call your school office and ask to be added.
This paper is published bi-monthly, September-June, and one issue each for the months of July and August. Current issues can also be viewed online, by going to the school website at www.rocketsk12.org, where you can access it under “Communicating” on the left-hand side.
