Graduation day is almost here! There is a new wrinkle to this year’s graduation ceremony. I wanted to communicate with you. This year, we will be adding an outdoor portion to our graduation day. At the conclusion of our graduation ceremony in the gym, our graduates will take their recessional to the football field where they will “ring the bell.” The graduates will then proceed to the marching band practice field to retrieve their senior yard signs, take a class picture from the view of the press box, and remain in that area for our post-ceremony social time and pictures. We will also have our backdrop available outside to use for personal pictures. You are welcome to use any of our East exits to join us outdoors for our after-ceremony portion of the day. Additionally, knowing we will wrap up our day’s festivities on the marching band practice field, we will be opening parking on the practice field for graduation day. Feel free to park in this area and walk into the gym from our East entrances in the small gym and locker room areas when you arrive. Please reference the attached map for all available parking and entrance locations.
As a final note, we have found a need to address celebration items this year within the ceremony. It has been agreed upon that confetti is our only allowable item for use within the ceremony, and any item being brought will be shown to administration for pre approval. Please help us in keeping this celebration piece of our ceremony in check by speaking to your graduate about our accepted item. I look forward to honoring the Class of 2023 along with you this Sunday at 2:00 pm. Doors will open at noon. Please contact the office if you have any handicap accommodation requests.
Respectfully,
Steve Noble, Principal
