Dr. Cook passed away on Wednesday, September 7 at his home in Okoboji, IA. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer several years ago, which moved to stage IV cancer over time. Dr. Cook consistently continued to participate in outdoor adventures with his wife Deb at Lake Rathbun and other outdoor areas. Dr. Cook's obituary is linked here.
Dr. Cook served 16 years as the superintendent of EBF. He led the consolidation of Eddyville-Blakesburg with Fremont in 2012. In his 16 years of dedicated service, he recognized the culture and community of Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont. Local area superintendents respected Dr. Cook as they worked together to form partnerships to enhance the conference or consortiums. Dr. Cook was instrumental implementing the IHCC career academy structures in 2010.
