On September 20th, 2022, Mrs. Appel's Soils and Crops class attended the Quad County Soil Judging Event in Mahaska County. This is a second year ag class taken by sophomores and juniors at EBF. Participants are pictured in a field with four soil pits dug out to examine and judge. The participants were also engaged in taking a written test and were set to answer questions about soil properties and identify factors. Following competition, the students were given their results. Trace Hol was the top scoring individual from the EBF chapter followed by Kaylee Helm. Both students will be representing the chapter at district competition.
