Mr. Mark Haselhuhn, a dedicated member of the Board of Directors for Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Community School District passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023. Mr. Haselhuhn's contributions and commitment to the district will be remembered.
Mark Haselhuhn was elected to the Board in September of 2015. For the past eight years he has served in the role to shape the educational landscape of the EBF community. Mr. Haselhuhn graduated from Eddyville in 1972 and took great pride in our EBF school system and the students’ academic preparedness.
During his time on the Board, Mr. Haselhuhn advocated for policies and initiatives aimed to improve the quality of education in our district. He wanted an environment where every student could reach their full potential academically and in career and technical programming. He enjoyed seeing our student’s achieve in all extra-curricular activities including athletics, marching band, and FFA.
As we mourn the loss of Mark Haselhuhn, it is essential to remember his 8 years of service and how proud he was of the EBF school district.
