The #1 EBF Rockets defeated the #2 North Mahaska Warhawks 49-40 in girls basketball .
Ava Eastlick opened the scoring with a three-point shot less than a minute into the game.
Molly Shafer led the Rockets in scoring with 18 points.
Kate Shafer and Ava Eastlick each scored 12 points.
Kaylee Helm scored 5 points.
Chloe Lyon scored 2 points.
The Rockets' defense and timely baskets helped in a tightly fought game betweeen the #1 and #2 teams in 2A girls basketball.
State Volleyball Honors Recognized Saturday 12-21. Coach Genskow selected as Coach of the Year for 2A Southeastern District. Molly and Kate Shafer earn 2A Elite Team All-State. Lacey Taylor earned 2A 3rd Team All-State. Kaylee Helm earned 2A 4th Team All-State.
