On Tuesday, October 7 the EBF Junior–Senior High was placed on a Hold for a period of time due to a student’s actions. A fire extinguisher was discharged onto a staff member at the room entrance and into the classroom of students. The discharge of the fire extinguisher caused the Hold to be extended while the debris was cleaned up by school staff.

I am unable to discuss individual disciplinary or health matters and in accordance with federal and state law, specific disciplinary details or other details cannot be shared by my office. I can assure you the district is addressing this situation with the seriousness it deserves. We are working within all legal and professional guidelines related to this scenario.

The EBF district takes this situation very seriously.

The EBF district performs various drills each year from tornado to “Hold” drills in all buildings. The staff and student’s knowledge of the “Hold” made for an orderly environment allowing the staff who were directly involved in the situation to work appropriately. I appreciate the staff and students who conducted themselves responsibly during the “Hold” in their classrooms.

EEAC Preschool Class enjoyed a fun and educational trip to Autumn Acres, where they explored the pumpkin patch and experienced the beauty of fall firsthand. This hands-on visit helped reinforce our learning about the life cycle of pumpkins, seasonal changes, and the sights, sounds, and colors of autumn in an engaging and memorable way.
