Kate and Molly Shafer compete at the Senior All-Star Volleyball Classic:
It was a great honor to compete in one last showcase at the IGCA Senior All-Star Volleyball Classic that took place in Johnston on November 16. There were a total of 33 players out of 2,000 seniors across Iowa that were selected and divided into 4 teams. The IGCA (Iowa Girls Coaches Association) held a banquet to honor all the seniors selected to play, hall of fame inductees, coaches, parents, and officials. For the first time ever, we were on different teams. It truly was an amazing opportunity to meet some of the people we have competed against, and also to see some familiar faces from club volleyball. After a 2 hour practice, we each played a match with and against some amazing volleyball players.We have so many people, teammates and coaches to thank for getting us to this level and we were proud to represent EBF at the Senior All-Star Volleyball Classic!

Congratulations to the National Honor Socity inductees: Myra Bogatzke, Kaitlynn Glenn, Claire Hayward, Jessilyn Mick, and Lacey Taylor. The group was inducted into NHS Tuesday evening.
EBF Jr-Sr High School held their annual Veteran's Day Ceremony. We give thanks to all the veteran's who attended the ceremony and their families. EBF is very pround of the veterans in our community. We also recognize all the students, staff, and community members who helped publish such a great event.

The EBF Volleyball team has advanced the the 2A Championship game on Thursday with a 3-1 win over Dyersvillle Beckman Wednesday afternoon. The championship game is set begin at 4:45. School Dismissal is 1 pm on Thursday

The EBF volleyball team has advanced to the state tournament semifinals. As previously announced there will be a 1 pm dismissal on Wednesday.
To allow our students and staff the opportunity to participate and support the team, the school schedule will be adjusted as follows on the dates EBF competes:
Wednesday, November 6: Dismissal at 1:00 pm
Thursday, November 7: Dismissal at 1:00 pm
Please note that each building will communicate its specific dismissal procedures. Should the team no longer be competing, we will resume our normal school schedule.

We are thrilled to announce that our varsity girls’ volleyball team has qualified for the state tournament for the third consecutive year! This incredible achievement is a testament to our athletes' dedication, hard work, and the support of our entire EBF community. The tournament will take place at Xtream Arena Center in Coralville, and we couldn’t be prouder of our Rockets as they represent EBF on this prestigious stage.

The volleyball team will travel to ADM (Adel) on Wednesday, Oct. 30th - 7pm to play Tri-Center. Tickets must be purchased online with gates opening at 5:45pm. Information for the upcoming 3rd-6th grade boys & girls basketball season. This clinic is important to help us organize teams for the upcoming season. The $35 (payable to EBF) will give each basketball player a t-shirt and the use of a reversible jersey for the season. If you are interested in participating, please fill out the registration form and send it back to your elementary secretary. Secretaries - those forms can be sent Mr. Johnston at the HS
